The spectacle started at 5:30 with A. Marshall, an actor from Australia, who studied acting in London.

First he told us a story about an old man who fell in a terrible whirlpool when he was young. His brother died in the accident, and he became like an old man. This story is called "A descent into the Maelstom" by Edgar Allan Poe, an American writer, who wrote detective stories, horror stories and poetry. His parents died when he was three, and he married his cousin when she was 14. Poe was a very important world-wide influence on literature.
