CANCELLATION INSURANCE
SUMMARY OF GUARANTEES FOR CANCELLATION, INTERRUPTION, AND TRAVEL CONDITION CHANGES
It will also be considered grounds for cancellation if the health condition of the INSURED, which is not considered a serious illness or accident, completely prevents them from carrying out the activity covered by the insurance, as verified by the INSURER’s medical service.
If the illness or accident affects any of the aforementioned persons, other than the INSURED, it will be considered serious if, after contracting the insurance, it results in hospitalization or requires bed rest and demands, in the judgment of a medical professional, continuous care and attention from healthcare personnel or designated caregivers by prior medical prescription, and it is expected that this situation will persist within the 12 days prior to the start of the trip.
The INSURED must notify the INSURER immediately of the incident on the date it occurs. The INSURER reserves the right to conduct a medical evaluation of the INSURED, the companion, the professional substitute, or the responsible person to assess whether the cause truly prevents the trip from starting. If the illness does not require hospitalization, the INSURED must notify the INSURER immediately after the event that caused the cancellation of the trip.
This cause will be valid starting 7 days after the insurance was purchased if the insurance was not contracted at the time of booking.
